I'm Getting Old . .

bones in the emesine cave??? what's been eating them??

AAAhhhh !! Today, my coworker was braiding my hair and she found my FIRST grey hair. White on the tip and gradually gray to the roots. Signs of age. . . hmm damn some of my friends are telling me theyr'e starting to wear anti wrinkle cream . . hmm Just keep putting on SPF 15 ladies. Let's keep ourselves young.

I crave green mangoes and bagoong.

Flower garden in Hawaii.

watching the waves crash.

Our hike to Emesine Cave (Jason & Donna)

Prom picture - it was awesome some parts were volcanic and dry and then we'll walk through a little wet rainforest spot.

Emesine Cave (Big Island of Kona Hawaii)

Entering the cave. Turn on your headlamps - a must !! It's freaking dark in there.

Donna and I made our way down the big crater entry first. Our guys are pussies!! hehe they needed to stay back to take our picture :)

All around us is "new land" thanks to the volcano behind me spitting the hot lava into the ocean.

Where's the Shark?

Little did we know I was already 6 weeks pregnant here :) Our lives are about to change forever . . . we look forward to Little Parker. The Little Guy is moving around a lot :) Hyper little one - scary - a little Jim/Shy clone. And NOOO we're not gonna name him Jimanne? although Shame might be a cool nick name heheh Get it Shy and James put together . . .shame shame shame. Shame on him for forcing my body to go through all these changes - I have white/gray hair now for God's sake.

Life is Beautiful.

Spring - Craving for Summer Days. . hot hot hot

Craving for warmer climate - I'm praying for some sunshine - (Sunshine - reminds me of the sunshine kid from cali - just watch remember the titans) Just watched the Narnia movie too - I like the oldes kid - reminds me of Heath Ledger hee hee :) . . .

I need to get motivated to work harder but being pregnant gets me lazy. Oh and last night from the way home from the dog park, I slammed Jim's truck door on my left point finger. Hurt like HELL - I straight up cried for a good 15-30 minutes. Thank god nothing broke but a got a little cut and I dipped it in ice water as soon as we got home and it didn't turn purple like I thought it was gonna. Hey I can still type right? Parker was a little upset so I made Jim hold me for 2 minutes while I cried. Jim was getting on my nerves though coz he expected me to broil the pork chops I marinated and I simply asked him to prep the lettuce for the salad. He responded "oh we dont' really need salad, and lets just make pizza" That drove me nuts I told him his child needs veggies and I did not spend half an hour getting the meat ready and cooking the rice just to have frozen pizza. He can get off his ass to help me a little bit around the house. So not to mention I take a long time to eat dinner so halfway through the big booger asked me he wants pie and ice cream and i'm like "go get your own, I'm still eating dinner" {sigh} I swear Jim gets spoiled and he tests me sometimes. Can't a pregnant lady w/ an out of commission finger get a break around here!! Anyways, I'm daydreaming at work - waiting for summer - I will be off work and my friends will visit :)

There goes Jimmy. (Lake Wildwood - LWW)

Jim always has this "serious" look on his face w/ his jumps.

Happy Easter

I love thrift store shopping - Jane! Mia! thanks you two have introduced me to that world. One time I actually found size 8 Manolo Blahniks for $3 bucks but I ended up giving it to a friend. They were never worn. I could have sold them on Ebay for at least 250 bucks. Oh well. My husband encourages it also - he's a thrift store junkie too. I need to start listing what I got.

Happy Easter! (black bead neclace $2, white bead necklace $2, easter egg bead neclace $3, rock stone charm bracelet, it flips to different colors $12 - a little pricier than my usual but all from the thrift store :)

our new ikea dish rack :) They just opened a new one in sacramento so Jim & I are ecstatic.

Our sink - Jim got a hook up w/ his cousin - we got a deep copper sink for the kitchen - hand hammered baby! & the sink - let's just say we dropped a pretty penny on that baby - hehe get it penny? copper? i know I'm corny.

Propane Range - Nothing beats Gas!! Electric Boo. papertowel holder Ikea also :)

Jim installed and mounted our 48" tv above the fireplace. He also installed the in wall cabinet for our surround system and computer system :)

Bagel w/ cream cheese. Green ashtray & vase are from Nona. Those are also Nona's orchids. Rectangle glass vase (walmart baby 2 years ago, but they sell it at Ikea for twice the price now)

I love dollar store candles.

Mama chair on the left. Kodi chair on the right - down comforter couch w/ ottoman scored it from the thrift store for $75 matches Nona's shawl.

Jim and I's favorite hang out - besides the bedroom :) Thats a red leaf banana on the corner window.

Candles Yay!

We got this canoe as a wedding present from my uncle. That's nona's gong. and behind is a display case (wood case - thrift store half off $25) w/ Jim's hand carved grandpa's billy clubs and gavel. Jim's Grandpa (nona's husband) was a patternmaker - he used to make the San Francisco Firemen's ladders. He would make cabinet patterns, gavels, etc. He was also a member of the Masons :)

Our new coffeetable from IKEA.

Can you tell I was bored Saturday & i just started taking photos - well not to mention I cleaned the house so i wanted to take a picture of it to know how it "supposed to look"

We inherited Nona's dining table & hutch.

I got the brown/pink polka dot wrapping paper from the dollar store. Place mats were also from there but they sell similar stuff at Crate & Barrell for a lot more!!!) Candles - dollar store! but those are Nona's brass candle holders :)

I ate a LOT OF HAM, and for the first time liked beets - our friend made fabulous dinner - garlic mashed potatoes, w/ thyme gravy, zucchini casserole w/ salad. Not to mention I probably had a dozen devilled eggs. Jim claims I had more. I made apple pie and custard snow pie :) I LOVE FOOD. preggo or no preggo.

All in all it was a good trip. Jim got to play some sand volleyball. We got to eat at Kabuki's Sushi at Howard Hughes - no sushi for me but their broiled mussels and grilled yellowtail are yummy. Got my dose of blue crab & bangus so I'm very happy. Got to see the family and my uncle clem's new house in La Habra. That'll be a neat place to stay at next time. I wish I could visit one more time in May or June but that's kinda cutting it close to my due date but we'll see.
