The morning after the Storm

We've been having hail & thunderstorms the last week of April. April 28th (wed) - we had hail all the way down in Penn Valley & it covered the ground & everything. It usually only snows up in Grass Valley & Nevada City - we're lower elevation in PV but we get hail sometimes. This is the morning after. Unfortunately, I was not able to record the hailstorm. Will try next time.

Sugarbush Creek (it's not really named that - it's just a seasonal creek we have in our backyard)

Karsen's 1st feeding & Parker in front of laptop

Karsen eating her first baby food. Jim got me a food processer last Xmas & we've been making our own baby food. Yumm. She's been having green beans, carrots, pork & beef with rice, sweet potatoes - this girl is an eater. She's now on formula. I dried up & stopped breastfeeding @ 7 months. Too hard once I got back to work to maintain pumping, etc.

This is Parker in front of the laptop. He has this monster truck video and has that song "Who let the dogs out!" playing in the background. This boy loves monster trucks! I put on youtube and he browses through the internet on his own - with some parental guidance from me of course. He loves Nick Jr games -- Dora & Umizoomi. He had been bugging me "Mom put umizoomi on" - It was weeks before I realized he had been talking about a cartoon that is on tv during the day. And all that time, I had thought it was a made up word! {sigh} the things I miss when I'm at work.

Happy "Munster" Day!

We went to Sopa Thai for Dia de las Madres.

Parker called his chopsticks "nunchuks" hee yah!

On the way to Nevada City for Lunch with Lola Patt

Parker got a medieval times sword from the LWW TTT garage sale. Funny - one of Jim & I's first date was at a medieval times. Food was okay - but I got to be dubbed "Queen of Love & Beaty" by the Yellow Knight.

Buddah says "Raise the Roof!"

Karsen @ Slim Rob's Party
Parker can't say "mother" so it sounds like "Happy Munster Day" - When I got home this Friday he says - "we have to get u something, we'll get u some balloons, a cake & a tennis racket, I'll tell Lola too!" I'm like "I don't want a tennis racket" but he has it in his head that since Tito Chris, Dad & Parker have tennis rackets that I should have one too. Funny boy - I'd rather get a new Digital SLR camera please :) or an Itouch or a new cellphone but can't afford the darn data plan. We'll see.
