2009 Christmas Tree

Sugarbush Crew Tradition. Rainbow Ridge Christmas Tree Farm. We pick our own tree and cut it down. We leave a little stump so they come back for next year. We got a 10 footer this year. $70 bucks.

Breakfast with Santa in LWW.

On the way from Parker's H1N1 shot we delightfully ran into this long parade of motorcycles. Didn't realize so many have them in Grass Valley. Some had reindeer and decorations on them. Very Festive. Feliz Navidad.

Parker got a skateboard

It's funny his safety gear reminds me of the filipino coconut folk dance - maglalatik.

Parker Milestones - He's potty trained and goes to his lil potty. Working on having him go on the big throne. He's quite nimble & coordinated for his age. Knows his colors & shapes. We're working on counting. So far he can count to five but always seems to forget 4.

One time he had a fit and had a melt down while playing outside. I left him & went inside the house & watched him from the kitchen window. He sat on his big wheel looking at the trees sway in the wind down the creek. When I returned he looks at me & says "Mom, I'm not cranky at you anymore." Melted my heart.

Karsen's First Bath

Not happy at first...but she got used to it.

She is now 11 lbs. She's quite strong and if you hold her upright she can almost walk & support herself at 11 weeks old. She looks a lot like Parker when he was this age.

Birthday Celebrations in the Fall

Spider Man Action. Peter Parker & Mary Jane. I don't think we purposely named our children from the cartoon? It's funny how we end up with a lot of spider man gear. Thanks for cousin Jolie from Sonoma for the lovely outfits they have given our children. Jim and I are jealous of their threads.

This guy taught us how to light fire back in the old mining days. He's an actual blacksmith. Here he is shooting 1830's era gun. Can't imagine living back in the gold rush era.

This is what the pioneer s had to cross to get to Penn Valley.

Mia & Jane visit me... thanks for the Love.

My Bday.

I'm a very happy mom.
